THE SCOTTISH BORDERS PEACE WALK - 2026

A Sponsored Walk Raising Funds for the Free Learning of Mindfulness
SUNDAY, 13th SEPTEMBER
St Boswells
Registration for The Scottish Borders Peace Walk is Open!
At Peer 2 Peer Mindfulness, our core mission is simple yet transformative: to promote resilience, peace of mind, emotional well-being, and community connection across the Scottish Borders.

We believe that mindfulness practice should be available to everyone, regardless of their financial or social circumstances.
Every step you take on our Sponsored Peace Walk - and every pound you raise - goes directly into funding free mindfulness courses for all.

Where Your Sponsorship Goes
100% of the net funds raised will directly enable Peer 2 Peer Mindfulness to deliver free-of-charge, expert-led 8-week mindfulness courses for the public across local Scottish Borders communities.
The Scottish Borders Peace Walk is more than a walk:
it's a movement towards cultivating
physical and mental wellbeing.
We warmly welcome everyone who believes in creating a world with less suffering.

Your participation in The Scottish Borders Peace Walk is twofold:

1. To raise much needed funds for enhancing the mental wellbeing of the Scottish Borders Community through high quality free of charge mindfulness courses. Every pound raised helps provide life-changing tools for stress reduction, emotional resilience, and isolation relief to local people facing financial hardship, mental health challenges, or geographical disadvantage.
2. Practicing Informal Mindfulness:
Walking provides a structured sensory anchor to bring a wandering thinking mind back to the present moment. Instead of walking while lost in worry, participants are invited to bring awareness to the activity of walking and connect mindfully with the surrounding natural world.

By joining the Peace Walk, you will experience the mental and physical wellbeing benefits of nature while engaging in a supportive community space rooted in kindness, respect, and non-judgment
Together, we can break down social and economic barriers to mental health and wellbeing support, turning individual steps into a 'Multiplier of Compassion and Peace'  that ripples across our local towns and villages.

You can help Peer 2 Peer Mindfulness build compassionate communities across the Scottish Borders and keep high-quality mindfulness learning free of charge and accessible to all who need it.

Our 8-week courses provide local adults, carers, and people dealing with stress, anxiety, or social isolation with evidence-based mindfulness techniques that foster long-term mental clarity, self-compassion, and coping strategies.
By joining us on 13th September, you are directly investing in the emotional health of your family, friends, neighbours, and community

What Makes This Peace Walk Mindful?
Unlike standard timed walks or races, our Peace Walk invites you to slow down and connect. Along the 5-mile route, experienced mindfulness facilitators will offer brief, optional pauses for gentle breathing practices and sensory awareness in nature.

Whether you walk in quiet contemplation or friendly conversation, you’ll leave feeling rejuvenated and refreshed.
