Living with a life-limiting illness can be an uncomfortable feeling of dread and despair that is distressing. But fear and worry don’t have to be your constant companions. A life-limiting illness may have taken hold of your body, but you can achieve peace of mind through mindfulness and regain control over thoughts and emotions and so live more fully and openly than ever before.

You can enrich your life by exploring ways to make peace with yourself and deepen connections with friends and family. When we befriend our difficulties — when we approach them mindfully — their force doesn’t necessarily derail us in the same way. Yes, the fear, grief and pain are still deeply felt, but we can be better equipped to accept loss and make peace with our difficulties.

The Mindfulness Based Living Course for life-limiting illnesses (Starts 7th June) will introduce you to mindfulness and compassion practices. Through these you will learn a variety of skills for improving quality of life, coping with fears, and cultivating a clear, calm and peaceful mind.

Mindfulness is a great way to quieten your busy mind from time to time and help you manage stress. Mindfulness enables you to tap into your natural resilience. With mindfulness we learn to live in the present moment and examine what we are really thinking and feeling in each moment so that we can thrive through loving kindness and compassion.

This mindfulness course is free of charge to participants through the funding provided by The Everyone Project.
