Join us for a grounding, relaxing and nourishing online day retreat preparing us to walk with greater confidence towards what may be an unusual Christmas.
With a focus on Mindful Compassion, we will practice meditations needed to help us deal with any difficult emotions and stress resulting from Coronavirus restrictions this Christmas.
Central to our day retreat will be a showing of the highly acclaimed film 'Walk with Me'. It features world famous Vietnamese Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh and the community of 'Plum Village' that he set up. The film is an insightful reflection on the pursuit of happiness through living in the present moment and is a welcome remedy for attachment to material things, and the stresses of life in a world in turmoil.
Three highly experienced mindfulness tutors - Brian Turnbull, Karen Baird and Sue Horsburgh - will guide us on our journey through the mindfulness and compassion meditations.

'Safe place' meditation creates an emotional sanctuary in the mind that we can return to whenever we are needing a boost of feeling safe and secure.
'Circle of Friends' meditation empowers us with the good qualities we admire in others and enables us to recognise that we already have these qualities within us and can use them in staying strong, courageous and kind in the face of difficulty.
'Rejoicing' meditation trains the heart to naturally become fulfilled by appreciating the good fortune of others rather than contracting in envy.
There is no requirement for you to attend the full day retreat. You can choose what parts of the day you want to participate in. This special event is designed for you to simply be you for the day, or part of the day. With nowhere to go, and nothing to do, just to be there, for yourself.
Book your place now below, organise your popcorn and drinks, and join us on Sunday 29th November.
